HAKITEC Weather protection

HAKITEC is the collective name for a complete system of weather protection and cladding. With weather protection, you can save up to 20% in working days, avoid possible moisture damage, increase well-being in the workplace for employees and reduce the risk of accidents and work injuries.

The system is based on aluminium lattice beams with heights of 750 and 450 mm and can span up to 32 metres. The heavy-duty beams provide a very strong structure with a large span and long durability.

HAKITEC uses few components and a simple but functional design that can be adapted to any type of building and scaffolding, with a variety of applications and uses. For smaller projects, the HAKITEC 450 has the same advantages as the HAKITEC 750 but uses 450 mm aluminium lattice beams with pockets for easier installation.

Lattice Beam 750

The main component of the HAKITEC 750 is the aluminium lattice beam 750. At 750 mm in width, it can be easily tailored so roof trusses cover superior spans and give a gable roof pitch of 15° or 22.5°. It has also pockets for easy installation of HAKI Universal guardrail frames as braces. The beams have been designed to provide extremely strong structures with large spans and long-service life, making them a sustainable investment for projects.

The 750 AL Lattice Beam is originally designed for HAKITEC weather protection and cladding systems, but as with all HAKI products, the components can be used in multiple systems. For example, the 750 beam can also be used to advantage in suspended scaffolding structures under bridges.

HAKITEC 750 can be designed in a range of different applications and uses of weather protection:

Roof

The classic roof weather protection is the most common solution that is versatile and can be applied over most structures. The HAKITEC 750 can be easily tailored to allow the trusses to cover larger spans and give a gable roof pitch of 15° or 22.5°.

Mono

The advantage of using a mono-pitched roof with a single slope is that you only need to install one set of gutters and then the lattice beams only need to be installed in one direction. The slope of the roof has an angle that ranges from 10 to 13 degrees.

Dual pitched

Weather protection can be built with two slopes that normally meet at the roof ridge. It is typically located in the centre of a building (but not always) and extends to cover the entire structure. This roofing solution is popular because it allows for sufficient space at the top of a building for maximum work space.

Polygon

The Polygon solution uses the same basic components as the rest of the HAKITEC 750 family, but with the introduction of three different ridge sizes: 15 degrees, 22.5 degrees and 37.5 degrees. When installing the different ridges, very unique roof shapes and sizes can be created.

Tent

HAKI temporary tents use the same components as temporary roofs, but are also built on in a vertical position to create walls. The walls and roof form a frame when they are joined together, giving maximum coverage and protection.

Shelter

Mobile shelters with wheels are quick to assemble and are used to advantage in projects where the weather protection needs to be moved quickly and easily as the project progresses. The shelter can be built in different lengths and widths, and the sections can also be easily broken down or connected into smaller and larger sections.

HAKI TKS 750

HAKI TKS 750 consists of aluminium frames with integrated double keder tracks. The frames are assembled to the desired length with spring pins and thanks to the integrated guide pin in the TKS frame's keder tracks, an unhindered transition from frame to frame is ensured over the entire length. The lattice beams are assembled with HAKI's unique guardrail frames and diagonal braces, which provide great strength, but also a lightweight and quickly assembled structure. The construction rests on TKS 750 lattice beam adapters.

The high flexibility is achieved thanks to the integrated double keder tracks in the TKS frames. For small spans, one standard sheet can be used, and for very large spans, three standard sheets can be combined together and used in the same section, as the sheets can overlap via the two keder tracks. Most spans can be built using only 8 metre and 10 metre long sheets, thus avoiding the need for long and very heavy sheets.

Installation

With safety at the centre, HAKI has three installation methods: site-built, with a crane lift or with sectional roll-out from an installation platform.

With a crane, the weather protection roof can be installed on the ground and then lifted into place. The HAKITEC roll-out method without the use of a crane means that the roofs are easily and safely assembled from a platform on one end of the roof and then rolled out section by section as they are completed.

Sheeting

The HAKITEC 750 can be covered either with a traditional HAKITEC sheeting made of reinforced LD polythene where the sheeting is installed on bracing guardrail frames using fixing beams, or HAKI Trak which has an extremely durable PVC coated polyester fabric that is very easy to install. The system consists of sheeting with keder beading and aluminium tracks. The tracks are adapted in length to the framework and are fastened quickly and easily with track clamp saddles and spring pins.
