The Powder Gate, a historic Gothic tower in Prague, is undergoing extensive exterior restorations that began in summer 2024, including cleaning, repairs, and stone railing restoration. HAKI Slovakia, together with EKRO CZ, provided scaffolding and safety solutions, along with technical support and training for Prague City Tourism.

The municipality of Alingsås, Sweden, is in the process of transforming the historic Kabomhuset into a modern municipal office, bringing to light the building's rich heritage and unique challenges. The building needed extensive repairs, including restoration of the roof structure, beams, walls and floors.

The HAKI Universal System Scaffolding has been chosen by IBN Scaffold for the refurbishment of Harold Wilson Court in Huddersfield town centre. This 11-storey high-rise residential project, managed by Wates, began in September 2023 and focuses on comprehensive fire safety enhancements to ensure compliance with strict health and safety regulations.  

In summer 2023 HAKI were presented with the challenge of providing a solution for safe access into the flooded quarry which has a deepest underwater point of 80 meters. This solution needed to have multiple levels above and below the water to provide employees access to the research facility and the 360m2 pontoon for deploying subs.

The 100-year old station roof will have around 10,000 new glazing panes fitted to replace the existing glass. This replacement will facilitate improved lighting throughout the station and a 50% reduction in the total glass weight to minimise the stress on station infrastructure.

Work on refurbishment of one of the tallest tower blocks within Canary Wharf began in July 2023 and is due for completion in 2025. This full refurbishment will ensure that the building, opened in 2001, is modernised whilst setting a new standard in sustainable design.

Our Norwegian customer Bergen Stillas has taken on one of its biggest projects to date - the St John's Church, which is crumbling and suffering from fallout. The church is the third tallest building in Bergen, reaching 61 metres above the ground, but its age and height are not the only things that make it unique. It also has a rather peculiar shape. Bergen Stillas' current focus has been to secure the church with customised scaffolding.

The first Slovak skyscraper, Eurovea Tower, has joined Bratislava's iconic skyline, with 45 floors and a height of 168 meters. This project consists of shops as well as 389 high-quality residences with a unique panoramic view of the city along the Danube River.

The old Tøyenbadet in Oslo has been demolished and the brand new indoor swimming pool facility is now a work in progress – with HAKI selected as the main shoring and scaffolding supplier together with our customer MB Stillas. Tøyenbadet will be the city's largest swimming facility, and will consist of both indoor and outdoor areas.

To restore the Great Church to its original exterior it was crucial to select quality, market-leading scaffolding and temporary access solutions that would enable restoration work to be completed as seamlessly as possible. As an expert in its field, HAKI was more than capable of rising to this special challenge.

When it came to providing the temporary access solutions for a programme of works on a busy ferry terminal connecting Helsingborg, Sweden and Helsingör, Denmark, HAKI was able to step-up and accept the challenge.

EnQuest Magnus (formerly BP Magnus) was one of BP's best-known assets on the UK continental shelf and BP has benefited from a long production run from the oil field. As well as providing hydrocarbon production from the field, Magnus is also the entry point for the Northern Leg gas pipeline, with gas exports from other nearby installations feeding the network for transfer to the onshore St Fergus gas terminal via Brent's.

A rope access inspection of the South Span of the Forth Rail Bridge highlighted a number of fractures in the steelwork that required to be repaired. Suitable access was required to allow repairs to the steelwork and coating works.

During routine inspections of the Forth Road Bridge in 2015, a crack in the pivot of one of the truss end links was discovered. The changeout of the affected steelwork initially took 18 months to complete; largely slowed down by the traditional scaffolding having to be continually modified to react to the changing work scope.

Leading scaffold design consultancy, 9Design, has incorporated the HAKI BIM plugin tool to streamline project delivery, save time, and attain better control and visibility of its scaffold projects. 

The scaffolding for maintenance work on MÆRSK INSPIER is supplied by HAKI A/S in collaboration with SEMCO MARITIME A/S. The position is approx. 60 meters high, and there are scaffolding on all three legs, about 390 tons of HAKI.

This circular fuel tank needed to be inspected for corrosion and had pipes that needed to be painted. The customer had limited time to assemble the scaffolding, perform the inspection and to demolish the scaffolding. There were also problems getting around an outside staircase and pipes on the ground.

Located between junctions 20 and 21 of London’s M25, the 450m-long Gade Valley Viaduct carries thousands of commuters as they make their way around the capital’s busy motorway.

HAKI and CCS Scaffolding were engaged by Wessex Capacity Alliance – a collaboration between Skanska UK, Mott MacDonald, AECOM, Colas Rail – to provide safe, temporary access solutions at Waterloo Station, while around £400m worth of improvements are made. 

Leading scaffold design consultancy, 9Design, has incorporated the HAKI BIM plugin tool to streamline project delivery, save time, and attain better control and visibility of its scaffold projects. The multiple benefits of the HAKI BIM plugin tool were clear to see when 9Design created a complex scaffold design for its client, NJS Australia, a domestic and commercial scaffold specialist.

Representing a significant milestone in the UK’s nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first of a new wave of nuclear power sites across the nation which will supply low-carbon electricity for around six million homes. HAKI is working across HPC, supplying temporary buildings and shelters throughout.

XERVON required scaffolding to cover 4500m² and a temporary roof to cover 2200m², while new apartments were being built on the roof of an existing building. 

The Crane Boom on the Total Dunbar offshore platform had deteriorated due to harsh conditions and required changing with minimal disruption. The weather meant that the safety boat could only operate in certain conditions, so the amount of time spent erecting & dismantling the sections of the scaffolds classed as over board was a critical factor. 

Højsager Mill was undergoing restoration works and required access around the structure to help repair the body and cover of the building. 

Leading main contractor Enigma Industrial Services Ltd has chosen HAKI Scaffolding for their modern, high-profile ‘The Ropeworks’ construction project at Salamander Place in the heart of the vibrant community of Leith, in the city of Edinburgh, Scotland. 

Contracted to help build the Køge Nord station near Copenhagen, Denmark, Barberens Stilladser A/S required a challenging access solution that would cover an entire pedestrian tunnel.

As one of the largest oil discoveries ever made, the Johan Sverdrup field will be one of the most important industrial projects in Norway for the next 50 years. 

Norwegian cruise, ferry and cargo operator, Hurtigruten, contracted our customer, Kleven Verft AS, to construct a groundbreaking hybrid-powered expedition cruise ship in early 2018. 

NJS purchased a 3-meter-high Public Access Stair (PAS) from HAKI to facilitate an exit route from the stand, as part of the one-way system.

Lyndon Scaffolding used a 24m high HAKI Stair Tower to allow for the removal of an old and installation of a new flagpole at Edinburgh Castle. 

Established building and civil engineering contractor Farrans Construction chose HAKI Universal Scaffolding and Public Access Stair (PAS) to provide a temporary access solution at Parliament Hill School in Highgate, London, while new build and renovation works were carried out. 

HAKI’s stair towers worked in conjunction with the HBS to provide safe, secure site worker access to the bridge. 

With free span of 1,145 meters, the bridge is the fifth largest suspension bridge in Europe and the second largest in Norway. It opened to traffic in December 2018, following 5 years of construction. 

The temporary bridge had to span 23.5m across the track and provide a safe, comfortable non-slip walkway during the winter months. 

20 Fenchurch Street, London is colloquially known as the Walkie Talkie, borne from its distinctive ‘handset’ appearance benefitted from the use of Catchfans throughout construction. 

Designed and commissioned to serve the local and international Financial Sector. It plays home to 9 towers including a retail shopping centre, a 5-star hotel, financial institutions, residential accommodation and provides parking for up to 5,000 vehicles. 

HAKI has supported the edge protection requirements on this flagship project by supplying 8,000 linear metres of barriers to maintain the safety of project workers and the public in one of the busiest areas of Toronto.

The Alupercha, the new lightweight fall arrest system from HAKI has achieved its first milestone, having just completed its first commercial workzone project after its recent market launch. 

HAKI has taken huge pride in supporting the different construction phases of this expansive development with the supply of its V - Compression Post Edge Protection system, Catchfans and Spaghetti Mat. 

HAKI Edge is delighted to have been chosen to provide essential workzone safety equipment to one of Europe’s most anticipated urban developments; Dublin’s Docklands.

HAKI Edge Protection system was installed on the Project Sapphire site in Cambridge to help ensure that work was completed with zero incidents. Fully compliant with EN 13374, class A, the barrier system provided a highly effective edge protection solution that was able to guarantee the safety of all workers. 

HAKI Edge supplied The Harbour Central project in East London with a complete site safety solution to secure a safe development of 901 luxury apartments. Measuring 9700 m2 and consisting of 4 towers totalling more than 130 floors and a further 3 low rise buildings. 

Contractor A J Morrisroe appointed by Berkeley Homes engaged the services of HAKI Edge to provide its Catchfan across the 12,500 square metres.

HAKI Edge was the chosen supplier for edge protection providing our barrier system complete with a customised Post edge solution across the buildings 49 floors. 

The Allianz Riviera, a purpose built multi-use stadium in Nice, France plays home to the city’s football team OGC Nice and is an impressive addition to France’s stadia. 

We specified the use of HAKI-Span 750 suspended access platform. While used for a number of previous projects, both on and offshore, this installation required a creative deviation from our typical methods of installation. Due to the lack of available pick-ups for both the finished platform, and for the rope access installation team, HAKI Access Solutions used additional wire rope winches to gain access to the area, and to facilitate the installation.

One of the more complex requirements was to fit our suspended TechniSpan platform inside one of the stations boilers for various mechanical repairs and tube replacement on the super heaters.

HAKI Access Solutions have been working in strategic partnership with Sparrows, with a portfolio of existing successful scopes jointly executed. This was driven by the need to bring in a specialist provider to offer true innovation with regards to crane maintenance requirements and move away from traditional methods.
